Pink Smoothie with Roohafza topped with Ice cream
Yes dear this is something which reminds me of my childhood. Before all those fancy coffee shops and chains came we use to make all those shakes at home. And there was nothing called as Strawberry easily available and whatever was available was very expensive.
Enter the good old Roohafza. It is a good nice pink drink and was made and marketed by Hamdard Industries. It still is available but probably got lost in all the new style juices and flavors.
Having a Roohafza shake before and alongwith the amazing dinner recipes that mom dear used to make was something really special in itself.
When I heard about the
Food Pallete Series pink hosted by Torview then the first thing that came to my mind was Roohafza.
Here how you make a pink smoothie or milkshake with Roohafza.
1) For a glass full of milk you would need about eight to ten tablespoons of Roohafza syrup.
2) Add the milk and the syrup in a smoothie blender and the let it churn for quite some time such that it becomes a good frothy mixture.
3) Then add the ice cream on top.
4) Garnish with Mint leaves and watermelon.
That is it and my son loved the entire stuff. This is the first time he is having the pink smoothie and that too with Roohafza. It was nice to bring those memories back of pink shake.
Well that said I am sure you make pink smoothies with a lot of other stuff and the most common among them are the ruby red grapefruit and the strawberries.
Next time this pink theme comes in then I am going to make the Rasperry Rose Souffle or the pink lemonade cupcakes. These cupcakes I have tasted at my friend’s dinner party and I will surely share the recipe here.
