Fish dinners recipes – easy fish recipe

I love fish and that is why it takes me to try the fish dinner recipes and of course I like to cook something which is very easy and fast to cook as well as is delicious. I am a curry fan and I have a hard a lot about the fish curry made with Coconut milk. Now that said this fish curry is from Kerala called the Vatti Pattichathu or maybe Fish Molee.

So let start right ahead and make sure that we have the best spicy fish dinner recipe.

Ingredients

Fish – 500 gm

2 Onions – sliced

Green chilies – Now people who do not like spicy stuff can avoid the chilly

Coconut milk – 1/2 cup

Thin Coconut milk ( Add water to thick one to create one)

Ginger paste

Chili powder

Vinegar – 1 tablespoon

Turmeric powder – 1/4 tablespoon

Corn Flour( maida) – 1 tablespoon

Curry leaves – A must have

Fish – this can be Tilapia or Pomfret

Steps to cook

The major step is to put the fish in a bowl which is filled with half cup of salt water .

Next get the ginger, chilies and garlic in a bowl and and mix them well into a paste.

Now take a deep vessel and add the coconut oil in it. Then add the curry leaves in it and then add the mixture we prepared in step two which was in step 2. Then add turmeric into it and mix well.

Kerala Fish curry

Now add fish and some water. Then add think coconut milk.Let it simmer for say five seven minutes. Make sure to cover the dish as then the fish will be cooked faster.

Then add the thick coconut milk , the curry leaves and the coconut oil. Now you can switch off the gas and let the curry sit for 20-30 minutes.

I hope I have give all the steps , by the way the fish curry that I made came out just about OK. however all my family loved it and everyone enjoyed my first entry to the Kerala Kitchen hosted by Spoonful of delight.
